KGM Motor Insurance, a specialist provider of motor insurance products to niche markets today announces the appointment of David Wells as Fraud Manager.
David will be responsible for KGM's fraud management function, reporting to the risk and compliance director. His remit will be both strategic and operational to ensure that KGM has rigorous fraud and financial crime management processes which are maintained and adhered to across the business. The Fraud Manager will be a central liaison both internally and with external partners, to ensure first class fraud risk identification, control and reporting.
David is an experienced insurance professional who joins KGM after ten years at Highway Insurance; the last six of which he was special projects manager for fraud. In this role he was instrumental in the formation of the fraud department and had a particular remit to target organised fraud.
KGM's Active Underwriter, Colin Hart, is delighted to welcome David to the team: "This is a key appointment for us, we are very pleased to have David on-board. He has exactly the skills and experience we are looking for in this role, with the drive and enthusiasm to lead the charge in combating fraud. I believe he will become a particularly valuable resource within our business and for our broker partners."
David Wells said: "This is a great opportunity for me to join a forward thinking insurer and contribute towards the successful growth of the company. Fraud and financial crime are, sadly, becoming increasingly important for insurance companies to manage, particularly with the explosion in organised fraud. It's a challenging area but a role I am looking forward to with vigour."
