KGM appointments signal growth plans
KGM Motor Insurance, has made two key appointments. Doug Phelan has been brought on board as group development manager and Alexander Connon joins as agency manager for Scotland.
The company said the new posts have been created to support the syndicate at "the start of an exciting period of growth".
Mr Phelan will focus on strategic development initiatives while Mr Connon’s remit is to expand KGM’s Scottish presence.
Active underwriter Colin Hart commented: “This is an exciting time for us. We are taking the business up a gear, but are keen to do so in tandem with our broker partners, and in line with their priorities. Doug and Alexander will have a key role in helping that process, both geographically and in terms of the quality of our products, service and support.”
Mr Phelan joined from FARR and previously worked at Rubicon Insurance Solutions. Mr Connon joins from a role as partner in a local brokerage prior to which he was at Highway and Groupama in both underwriting and development roles.
