Role Title: Deputy Specialist Technical Underwriter

ROLE PURPOSE

  • Reporting to the Private and Public Hire Technical Underwriter, you will provide full support to the them on all aspects of managing the specialist business class.
  • To take full ownership of day to day management of business class in Technical Underwriters absence.
  • To develop and demonstrate in depth knowledge of the Private and Public hire market.
  • To promote maintain relationships with key supporting brokers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • All work to be processed in a timely fashion to meet Motor Insurance Database Time to Supply targets.
  • Respond effectively to both internal and external correspondence
  • Accurately write up new business cases, reports, invite renewals & action renewal procedures correctly.
  • Deliver excellent customer service experience on all telephone enquiries.
  • Detailed knowledge of underwriting processes.
  • Able to identify staff errors, correct them and address/highlight any development areas and deliver any necessary training.
  • Deal with accounts queries effectively.
  • Participate in ad hoc duties as required to effectively maintain the smooth running of the department.
